Music Shops in Edinburgh

Here at Drum Lessons Edinburgh our students are more often than not looking to upgrade and accessorize their equipment or sometimes are looking for a new drum kit altogether. Their first port of call is to ask their teacher what retailers in Edinburgh offer the best deals on high quality equipment, so we've compiled a list of some of the cities best music stores where you can get your hands on some of the best bits of kit!

They offer one of the widest selection of drum kits and accessories in the United Kingdom at a wide variety of prices, so there's bound to be something here that will suit you no matter the size of your budget. The store also offers drum kit tuning and overhauls, so you'll be able to maintain your prized possesion in one swift easy process! The Drum Vault

The Drum Vault is an appointment-only business located in Dunfermline just north of Edinburgh over the Forth Bridge that specialises in professional drum repair and second hand sales. They are very highly commended by people across the country (and even one or two people from overseas!) and you can view some of their restorations on photos posted to their facebook page. Red Dog Music

Red Dog Music is one of Edinburgh's largest music stores, with over 5000 sqft of instruments on display! Unlike the other two shops on this list, Red Dog Music is unspecialised and so deals in all sorts of instruments and accessories as well as a flavourful stock of music books and records too. The store is located within 10 minutes walk from Waverley Station (mainline) and boasts an army of friendly, experienced and well-informed staff who will be able to hunt down the instrument you're looking for- or anything else found within their labyrinth of instruments for that matter! They're sat right in the centre of the city so they're hard to miss, drop in and check them out!

New Method To Learn Drums

Too often learning how to play an instrument means to do exercises by your own: I want to make you play drums on real songs, such as the backing tracks of your favorite songs, so you can find out how the things we study can be applied on real music and that gives you the chance to enjoy more the practice of this complex instrument. At the same time I'll take you through your favorite styles to help you to develop specific techniques, always keeping in mind the music must be fun first of all!
